The Practicum is designed for the 3rd or 4th year student desiring extremely focused, rigorous training that explores a number of methods and disciplines. Formerly divided into music and acting practica, this advanced studio option is now combined into one intensive exploration of acting through text and song. Classes in scene study, music performance, dance, voice, speech, Alexander Technique, comedy/improv, Shakespeare, auditioning, and on-camera techniques-- with guest seminars on everything from Fosse choreography to sound design-- are designed to form a class ensemble in a trusting and committed environment. Note: For Practicum, we will also see students who are traveling abroad in the Fall, but may wish to join us in the Spring.
