With the use of specially designed playwriting exercises and a study of the techniques of master dramatists, each student completes a one-act play, which receives a reading at the end of the class. In the process of writing their own play, students gain further insight into and appreciation of the mechanics of creating effective drama as well as the satisfaction of completing their own dramatic work.
