Biography
Cobina has been teaching theatre studies in the Drama department since 1998. Her areas of expertise include Asian performing arts, with a focus on Indonesian traditional and contemporary theatre, and 20th-century Western avant-garde theatre. Her recent publications include “Indonesian Theatre and its Double: Putu Wijaya Paints a Theatre of Mental Terror,” in
Performance of the Senses, Eds. Sally Banes and André Lepecki (Routledge 2006) and multiple entries on Southeast Asian theatre in

The Lontar Anthology of Indonesian Drama,
Volume III: 1965-2000 (Lontar Foundation, forthcoming 2007). She is also a member of Teater Mandiri, based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
