Graduate of Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Paris, France, and the Rose Bruford College in London, England.
Richard has directed clown work for the Cirque du Soleil, as well as a Commedia dell'Arte version of Petrushka at Carnegie Hall. Richard is a founding member of the internationally acclaimed theater ensemble The Flying Machine, with whom he performs regularly. Richard has been teaching for the past seven years in London, Paris, Santiago, Montreal and New York. In the U.S., Richard has taught Neutral Mask and Commedia dell'Arte at Tisch/NYU, Yale School of Drama, Sarah Lawrence College, The Actor's Center/NY, and the University of Minnesota , where he also directed a fully masked version of The Bourgeois Gentleman.
