Biography
Areas: Gender and Performance, Religion and Performance, Latin American and Latino Theatre, Sound Theory and Linguistic Philosophy.Gwendolyn has published in journals such as Theatre Journal, TDR, Dance Research Journal and is the former managing editor of Women & Performance: A Journal of Feminist Theory. She is currently engaged in a project that interrogates how performance artists Meredith Monk, Linda Montano and Deb Margolin are re-examining and reclaiming the medium of performed silence. She has also taught at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study and at Naropa University. She is currently the Conference Planner for the Performance Studies Focus group of ATHE (Association for Theatre in Higher Education). She is also been teaching yoga asana in various locations in New York City over the last six years.
